1) Steelers extend home MNF win streak to 23 games

Pittsburgh defeated Miami 28-15 last night, with QB Aaron Rodgers throwing two TDs and completing 85% of his passes (his highest mark since 2014).

  • With the victory, the Steelers ensured their streak of winning at home on Monday Night Football—active since 1992—remains alive. 
  • Pittsburgh also remains one game ahead of the Ravens atop the AFC North, with an 8-6 record, while Miami (6-8) is officially eliminated from playoff contention.
  • Speaking of streaks: last night’s loss in Pittsburgh was the 14th straight for the Miami Dolphins in games where the temperature is below 40°F (including playoffs).

2) Cooper Flagg is the youngest in NBA history to drop 40

Flagg, the #1 overall pick in last summer’s NBA Draft, scored a record-breaking 42 points in the Dallas Mavericks’ 140-133 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz last night.

  • The 42 points from Flagg is the most by an 18-year-old in NBA history, beating the previous record of 37 set by LeBron James in 2003.
  • Flagg is currently averaging 18.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, and leads NBA.com’s Kia Rookie Ladder.

3) Arch Manning is returning to Texas next year

The Longhorns QB’s dad, Cooper Manning, confirmed that Arch plans to return to Austin next year in a text message to ESPN last night, even though Arch could have declared for the NFL Draft as a redshirt sophomore.

  • After some early growing pains, Manning finished this season with 15 TDs (three rushing) and two INTs in his final five starts, which included three 300-yard passing games.
  • Arch is expected to play for Texas in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Michigan on December 31.

4) Washington completes Cinderella run to win NCAA soccer title

The Huskies clawed back to beat NC State 3-2 in overtime to win the NCAA title game on Monday, taking home the school’s first-ever national championship in men’s soccer.

  • Washington, who was unseeded entering the tournament, is the first team to win six road matches en route to taking home the Men's College Cup.
  • The Huskies took down five seeded teams on their to the title, including #5 SMU and #4 Maryland.

5) Scottie Sheffler named PGA Tour Player of the Year

The world’s #1 golfer earned yet another trophy yesterday, snagging the PGA Tour’s top award for 2025 after winning six total events, including two majors (PGA Championship & British Open).

  • Scheffler, 29, joins Tiger Woods as the only golfers in PGA history to win the Player of the Year award in four consecutive seasons (Tiger’s streak was five).
  • South Africa's Aldrich Potgieter, who became the PGA Tour's ninth-youngest champion since 1983, was named the Arnold Palmer Award winner as the Rookie of the Year.
