2) Belichick snub brings HoF voting under scrutiny
The Hall-of-Fame snub of the legendary Patriots head coach/GM has sparked calls for change in the voting system—or voters themselves—from NFL fans, players, and executives alike.
One of the 11 voters who didn’t select Belichick came forward with an article last night saying he had other people he was worrying about making the HoF amid limited votes.
- The Hall of Fame yesterday said voting members who are determined to have "violated the selection process bylaws" will have “action” taken against them, which could include removal as a voter.
- The HoF also confirmed via independent auditors that former Colts GM Bill Polian—whom ESPN reported pushed for voting against Belichick—did actually vote for him, per a statement from Polian.
