  • His 3,554 career strikeouts are the 8th-most in MLB history, while he ranks 24th in pitching WAR (82.3) and 37th in wins (266).

3) World Cup favorite faces toughest test yet

France, the world’s #1-ranked team, faces #6 Morocco in the World Cup quarterfinals this afternoon (3 pm CT), in its toughest game thus far.

  • Les Bleus are the tournament’s joint top goal scorers alongside Argentina, led by star French striker Kylian MbappĂ© (7 goals, 1 behind Messi).
  • But they’ll have their hands full with a Moroccan squad that’s shown strong defense, goal scoring, game control, and clutch play in the tournament.
  • Morocco is looking to make its 2nd straight World Cup semifinal, after becoming the first African team ever to make it that far in 2022.
