3) Georgia, Clemson cancel future 4-game CFB series
Georgia and Clemson have canceled their four-game football series scheduled between 2029-33, the latest marquee matchup erased as conference schedules expand.
- The SEC and ACC are both moving to 9-game league slates, leaving fewer openings on the schedule, while both teams also have a traditional nonconference rival (Georgia: GA Tech; Clemson: S. Carolina).
- For Clemson, a new 12-game series with Notre Dame (from 2027-38) further squeezed its available dates.
- Georgia has also dropped future series with Louisville and NC St., while Alabama has canceled matchups with West Virginia and OK St. for similar scheduling reasons.
