1) Men’s Sweet Sixteen tips off tonight
Eight of the final 16 teams remaining in men’s March Madness will tip off tonight, with top storylines including #11 Texas’ Cinderella run and #4 Nebraska's furthest advancement ever.
- The other half of the Sweet 16 takes place Friday night, starting with #5 St. John’s v. #1 Duke (6:10 pm CT).
- It’s the second straight NCAA tournament where all Sweet 16 schools are from major conferences, after last year marked the first such occurrence in March Madness history.
2) MLB Opening Day action continues
The NY Yankees defeated the SF Giants 7-0 last night to begin the MLB regular season, with star Aaron Judge being the only Yankee to not record a hit (0-5, 4Ks).
The Netflix-exclusive broadcast drew negative reviews across the board, with critics citing poor production quality and too many in-game interviews (causing Netflix to miss the first-ever ABS challenge).
- Opening Day continues today with 20 teams taking the field for the first time, starting with the Pirates v. Mets this afternoon (12:15 CT).
- The final eight teams will kick off their seasons on Friday.

3) Timberwolves mount biggest OT comeback ever
Minnesota came back from a 13-point deficit in overtime last night to beat the Rockets 110-108, thanks to a 15-0 run to close out the game.
- Minnesota’s remarkable victory came despite missing 5 of their top 7 players for most of overtime, either due to injury or foul trouble.
- The T’Wolves’ 13-point comeback marks the biggest from an OT deficit since the NBA began logging play-by-play details in 1997.

4) NFL is coming for Wednesdays
The league will start the 2026-27 NFL season on a Wednesday night, rather than the typical Thursday, NFL officials confirmed yesterday.
The decision clears the typical Thursday primetime slot for the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia, featuring the Rams and 49ers.
- At the same time, the NFL is exploring playing a game on Thanksgiving Eve—also a Wednesday—this season for the first time in history.
- The full 2026-27 NFL schedule will be released in May, including an unprecedented nine international games.

5) Olympics bans trans women from female category
The International Olympic Committee today announced plans to ban transgender women from competing in the female category. The move will establish a mandatory DNA-based sex test once in a female athlete's career (via cheek swab).
- The move, which takes effect with the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, reverses the IOC’s previous policy of leaving trans athlete inclusion up to each sport’s governing body.
- It applies to all IOC events but isn’t designed to apply to any grassroots or recreational sports programs, IOC officials said.

Most cold plunges become a chore. This one doesn’t

Most setups require hauling water, managing ice, and constant cleaning. HomePlunge removes the labor by turning your bathtub into a cold plunge.
A built-in chiller cools water fast and locks in your exact temperature for every session, so it stays consistent from start to finish. Meanwhile, a filtration system keeps water clean between uses.
Skip the work and keep the recovery.
