📰 Cal Raleigh hits HR 55 and 56
Cal Raleigh, aka the Big Dumper, keeps dumping balls into seats. And when he blasted two home runs on Tuesday night, he did more than carry his team to victory…he carried himself into the record books.
- #55: Passed the great Mickey Mantle for the most home runs in a season by a switch hitter
- #56: Tied Ken Griffey Jr.’s franchise record for HR’s in a season
What Cal Raleigh is doing in Seattle puts him in rare company; the last catcher to lead the league in home runs was none other than Johnny Bench.

📊 Put your arm into it!
Challenge flag distance… Do we really keep up with that? You bet! On Sunday, Eagles HC Nic Sirianni put his rotator cuff to the test, throwing his challenge flag a whopping 36.329 air yards, according to NextGenStats. This is the furthest throw of a challenge flag since 2016. Thrown at a blistering 31.415 MPH, the flag made it to the endzone in 1.712 seconds, resulting in a 73.617% chance that it would be noticed. Nice arm, Nic.
