1) Ohio St. leads inaugural College Football Playoff poll

The first CFP rankings of 2025 were published late last night…and it looks a lot like the AP rankings when it comes to the first several teams.

  • The top-five rankings in the CFP poll were the exact same as Sunday’s AP poll—#1 OSU, #2 Indiana, #3 Texas A&M, #4 Alabama, #5 Georgia—but after that, they diverged a little bit.
  • Last night's CFP poll is the first of five rankings that will be released before the official rankings come out on Sunday, December 7, to decide the 12-team playoff field.

  • The court will reportedly be modified to level the playing field between Sabalenka and Kyrgios, with the dimensions of Sabalenka’s side being 9% smaller.
  • It represents the fourth “Battle of the Sexes” match in tennis history, with the most famous being a legendary 1973 battle where Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggs in front of ~90 million TV viewers.

LIV Golf—which was named after its shortened, three-day tournament style (LIV = 54 in Roman numerals)—announced plans to switch from 54-hole events to the standard 72-hole system starting next season.

  • LIV officials say the change is aimed at getting the tour recognized by the Official World Golf Rankings, which would allow LIV players to qualify for majors and other top events.
  • The tour will continue to run both individual and team competition elements.
