1) Thunder take 3-2 lead over Spurs
OKC defeated San Antonio 127-114 at home last night, with MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 32 points and G Alex Caruso adding 22 off the bench.
- Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama was a non-factor for most of the night (20 pts, 4-15 FG, 6 reb), and declined to speak to the media after the game.
- On the flip side, Thunder big men Chet Holmgren (16 pts, 11 reb) and Isaiah Hartenstein (12 pts, 15 reb) helped win the battle in the paint.
- The Thunder now hold a 3-2 series lead ahead of Game 6 in San Antonio tomorrow night (7:30 CT).
Can the Spurs steal OKC’s thunder?
2) Travis Kelce becomes part-owner of MLB’s Guardians
The Kansas City Chiefs TE is joining his hometown Cleveland Guardians' ownership group as a minority investor, Kelce revealed this morning.
- The Guardians are valued around $1.7B, up sharply from their $1B valuation in 2022 when David Blitzer purchased a minority stake (with a path to majority ownership).
- Kelce is the latest star athlete to take a minority stake in an MLB team, joining LeBron James (Red Sox), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Brewers), Cade Cunningham (Rangers), and Patrick Mahomes (Royals).

3) Team USA unveils World Cup roster
The USMNT and head coach Mauricio Pochettino unveiled the 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which includes a mix of breakout stars and veteran talent.
- Top players for Team USA include winger Christian Pulisic, midfielder Weston McKennie, striker Folarin Balogun, midfielder Tyler Adams, and striker Ricardo Pepi.
- 13 members were part of the US squad that reached the last 16 at the 2022 World Cup, while the remaining 13 are set to make their tournament debut.
- Team USA kicks things off with an initial World Cup match against Paraguay on June 12.
4) Packers RB Josh Jacobs arrested for domestic violence
Green Bay star RB Josh Jacobs was arrested yesterday and booked on several domestic violence charges, including strangulation and suffocation, per local Wisconsin police.
- Authorities say they responded at 8:37 AM on Saturday to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs, but didn’t mention any other details due to an ongoing investigation.
- His lawyers say Jacobs “vehemently denies” the allegations, citing “important evidence that has not yet been made public.”
- Jacobs, 28, a 3-time All-Pro selection, is entering his 3rd year with the Packers. It’s unclear how the team or the NFL plan to handle his arrest.

5) LA Dodgers top prospect gets injured avoiding bat dog
Kendall George, one of the fastest players in the Minor Leagues, injured his left knee while trying to avoid the bat dog for his Double-A Tulsa Drillers Monday night.
- The Dodgers’ #13th-ranked prospect underwent imaging yesterday, with early results “not that optimistic” about George’s injury outlook, per The Athletic.
- George stole 100 bases in High-A ball last season—the 5th Minor Leaguer to reach that total since 2005—and has already swiped 26 bags so far this season.
